Catching up!

Well I haven't had much time to post any updates. But things have been great. I did censusing for the first time today. Previously we have been Indexing. But La Vega Has finally a good amount Indexed already i think, so the brothers thought it would be nice to do some Census work for our first organized meeting with the other local Spanish in La Vega. It was AWESOME. I spoke with so many people. I Surprised myself with all the Espanol I was speaking. I got 3 leads... on people speak english but were not home at the moment. We take note of every single one on the territory sheets though. I got their names and the times that would be good to catch them home... all in spanish. hee hee. I also found one young girl, she was learning english in school. So i tought her god's name in english. and Left her a little tract. She was so happy to practice her lil' english words.

I become more and more impressed with the self-sacrificing spirit that the brothers down here have. They have close to nothing, but it's obvious that they are being blessed for all their efforts. The watchtower on Sunday was so encouraging for our congregation, which is made up of many who gave up their well-paying jobs and sold everything they owned, to serve down here. Now they work for Jehovah. You may wonder how they make a living. Well some that I have spoken to, teach english, weather it be on-line, or in their homes. A few sisters do Hair-dressing! I love that Idea also.

Well all is well. I'm finally getting rid of my soreness. Walking here is... well tiring. My trip to the waterfall, was the most adventurous part of my trip so far. We hiked all the way up a steep!!! mountain. but the view was worth it. However, it started raining on the way down the mountain, and that's when the adventure turned into danger. The rocks were so slippery and parts where we had to cross little bridges made off planks of wood on wire, was not cool at all. Needless to say, i was praying the whole time.  But the brothers were very helpful, so i wasn't too too worried. I take that back I was. It turned out fun in the end.

Enjoy the pics. Until next time.

Catch Up Time!
